All of Raw Design products are made to order. Since they are handmade, there may be slight variations in patterns and colors. Each piece of wood is different and absorbs the dyes we use in a slightly different way. Our goal is to make sure all our customers are happy with their purchase. We have been making and selling peppermills for 30 years and have sold well over 150,000 during that time and stand behind our products. If for some reason, you are unhappy with the item you ordered when you receive it, we will be glad to exchange it for another or give you a credit. However, if you must return your purchase for a refund, you can return it and once we receive it, provided there is no damage, we will refund your money less a 25% restocking/reconditioning fee. If there is damage to the mill that requires refurbishing then additional fees will be deducted from your refund.

Filling and adjusting Combo Units:

Filling your Combo Unit: Unscrew the top knob and then lift off the top wooden section. The peppercorns are loaded into the bottomsection through the opening where the metal shaft sticks out. Replace the top wooden section and fill with pre-ground table salt. Replace the metal shaker lid and tighten the silver knob until it just touches the shaker lid.

Adjusting the Grind: There are two ways to adjust the grind. After filling the grinder with salt and pepper, tighten the knob until it justtouches the top and stop. The grinder is now in the finest setting. By turning the top back and forth and pulling upat the same time you will get a coarser grind. The second way to adjust is by tightening the silver top knob. Thetighter the coarser, the looser the finer.
